How Can sore Red Bumps On The Navel Be Treated?

Navel piercing became sore, red and puss appeared 10 months after piercing. I tried soaking with salt water but it got worse and started to bleed. Visited an MD and was given keflex. Got better but not healed. Tried doxycycline with no healing. Then a different MD gave me avelox. It helped a lot but then I saw a small amount of pus. No bleeding but it remains discolored. Infection is only at the top of the piercing. I updated the MD that there is still a small amount of pus and they gave me another 10 days of avelox. It is still not completely healed and I only have 3 days if antibiotics left. I don t know what to do.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. If you send a picture of the wound then it will be more helpful. Wound should be cleaned from puss and debris first. You can use saline for this. I also recommend using metronidazole tablets to be powdered and applied locally.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
